President Nicolás Maduro says he won’t allow U.S. crude oil exports through the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to go through his country.
Maduro, speaking Friday in Venezuela’s capital, told a gathering of the country’s Bolivarians that Venezuela won’t give up its oil wealth.
“I will not let the United State of America to export the oil that Venezuela can’t afford.
It’s not a gift, it’s a duty, it belongs to Venezuela.
Venezuela won, Maduro said.
Venezuela is also facing mounting sanctions from the United Nations, the European Union, and China for its human rights abuses and political corruption.
